The Flagstaff/Rototuna area boasts a lovely community feel, being just far enough outside of Hamilton city to escape the bustle of a busy city centre. They are safe and friendly suburbs, which have many amenities.
It is in close proximity to the Rototuna Shopping Centre. This includes two supermarkets, a medical centre, pharmacy, veterinarian, clothing stores, garden centre and many other entertainment and dining facilities.
Public transport links with bus stops nearby so you are well connected to all that Hamilton has to offer. Flagstaff shopping centre, The Base and Chartwell Mall are all in close proximity and there is also the new Rototuna Town Centre development to look forward to.
There is easy access to Auckland, Tauranga or further South via the Expressway.
Schools in this area include Rototuna Primary School, Te Totara Primary School, Waikato Waldorf School, Hamilton Christian School. Also Endeavour Primary, Horsham Downs Primary (rural), Te Totara Primary and Rototuna Junior High School & Rototuna Senior High School (all decile 10).
There are a number of parks in the area, including Tauhara Park, Discovery Park and Flagstaff Park.
The currently undeveloped parcel of land on Meadowfield Street has been purchased by Hamilton City Council for a future sports park and has been named Hare Puke Park.
